The Roatan Museum, the Carambola Gardens and Marine Reserve.

Two glass bottom boats operate in the marine reserve of Sandy bay and West End, fully air conditioned they represent the latest in observation technology and provide a safe and informative introduction to the wonders of the reef.
Photographers and nature lovers can always find plenty to interest them on Roatan.

The many varied habitats offer a wide variety of opportunities to view migrating birds, rare and exotic indigenous fauna and flora, the natural landscapes and peoples of the island.
The island has a botanical gardens where plants and trees are labeled as to economic use and an institute for marine sciences where research is conducted on the reef and Dolphins.

The Roatan Museum is open from Thursday to Tuesday.

The Institute of Marine Sciences has dolphin encounter shows regularly. On weekdays, the show is at 10:00 a.m. and at 3:00 p.m. On weekends there are three shows, at 10:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. No shows on Wednesday.

Entrance fees charged appx $4.00  USD per person.
