walls are abundant in stony corals and colorful
sponges.

Guanaja is a
magnificent, lush, verdant, mountainous island surrounded
by coral reefs. The Bay Islands claim more than 800 species
of fish and over 60 species of corals. Guanaja is known for
it's striking stands of pillar corals that ascend up from
the reef ridges, and their amazing labyrinths of swim-
through volcanic formations. Most dive sites are excellent
for beginners to experts, and offer a great opportunity to
explore or capture incredible pictures or video. Guanaja is
the beginning of the Second Largest Barrier Reef in the
world. Submerged beneath crystal blue clear water are over
50 moored dive sites.
